Following on from excavation work last year and the geo phys. work of Mike Woods our fieldwalk will be on Calf Hill and the surrounding area. Now that the bracken and other vegatation has died back it may be possible for us to identify features such as relevant earthworks which will be important for our continued study of the area and its history.

For those of you who require a traditional full English or bacon butty the café doors open at 10am you might have to elbow the folk from Rossendale out of the way though.
Wear suitable clothing for the weather, stout footwear and take a packed lunch.
If the weather is inclement we will use the Green Room for post excavation work.
