‘The way things use to be’ – A nostalgic trip back to the 1940s, 50s & 60s with Harold Hoggarth.

A light hearted look at how we used to fill our time. The games we played, the music we listened to, the radio programmes we enjoyed and how things changed with the end of rationing and the advent of Television. This is a fully illustrated audio visual presentation.

£8.00 including supper.  Pay on the door.

Supper? Will it be World War 2 rations with powdered scrambled egg, eggless cake or rabbit stew? (all before my time fortunately).  I was rather hoping for Prawn Cocktail, Steak, Black Forest Gateaux and Berni coffee served in a glass with cream on top (by ‘eck we wur sophisticated weren’t we)!  However vol au vents, Angel Delight and a few other delicacies should make up for it I understand!  There’s no bar so will there be Horlicks and cocoa I wonder?
